Primula florindae (Tibetan Primrose, Himalayan Cowslip) is seed grown at Plant Paradise Country Gardens. It has received the Award of Garden Merit (A.G.M.) from the Royal Horticultural Society. Flower umbels of many pendulous, fragrant lemon yellow blooms. Well-suited for evenly moist soils.The legendary plant explorer, Frank Kingdon-Ward, discovered this in the Tibetan, Rong Chu Valley in 1924. Not too far away, he also discovered the Himalayan Blue Poppy, Meconopsis betonicifolia. All the primula we grow from seed fill a one gallon container by early fall.
