Miscanthus sinensis ‘Zebrinus’ is a non-invasive, clumping ornamental grass that has distinctive gold banding. Very well-behaved, distinctively different ornamental grass. In any areas with not very much snow Miscanthus sinensis ‘Zebrinus’ can provide winter interest. In our botanical gardens we cut down all our ornamental grasses in late fall, around early November, to prevent moles and voles from nesting in the foliage that falls with the weight of the winter snow.
