Caryopteris x clandonensis ‘Blue Empire’ (blue mist shrub, bluebeard) is big, blue and beautiful. The largest flower wands of any other Caryopteris. The long blooming, deep blue flowers are stacked along long wands. Bluebeard should be given a hard prune in late spring as tips will experience winter die back.
