Paeonia ‘Julia Rose’
(Intersectional Peony)
Paeonia ‘Julia Rose’ (Intersectional Peony) has large 4-6 inch flowers that change colour as they age. Rose-red buds open to apricot-pink and rose-pink coloured edges. Eventually it fades to a light yellow. A single plant displays 3 different bloom colours to create a unique show. Intersectional peonies are created by crossing a herbaceous peony with a woody tree peony. This provides them with the best qualities of both: strong, weather resistant flower stems that do not require staking, longer bloom period, extreme hardiness and increased vigor, healthy green foliage, very floriferous with 30-40 blooms on a mature plant.
